You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet (Psalm 8, v. 6)

According to the Midrash Tehillim, this verse of Psalm 8 refers to Joshua 10:12-13, where God makes the sun and the moon stand still:

The Passacaglia in D minor by Dietrich Buxtehude is made up of four “sections” in D minor, F Major, A minor and D minor again. Each section comprises seven musical phrases, and a total of 28 bars each. The “motif” of the passacaglia, comprising seven notes, is continuously repeated throughout the piece, as is emblematic of the passacaglia genre. Buxtehude was known for his interest in numerology, and this perfect numeral feature has led musicologists such as Piet Kee to speculate that Buxtehude was representing the four phases of the moon.

The palette of blues used in this window is remarkable for its range of colours – cornflower, turquoise, aquamarine, cerulean and ultramarine, and many more.

Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
